Key Areas of Responsibility:
Summary:
• To provide leadership and direction in the success of Evergreen Community Church’s mission statements and strategize its annual goals and objectives through purpose driven initiatives
• Oversight of all Evergreen Ministries, Planning, Staff, and Personal growth
Sunday Services:
• Coordinate, plan, and oversee Sunday service activities with excellence by utilizing staff, volunteers, and resources
• Ensure purpose driven initiatives are clearly communicated and generating member involvement
• Regularly preach and teach the Word of God, calling for spiritual growth and mission participation
• Frequently update the congregation on victories and progress through celebration
• Select service elements that allow authentic and engaging worship
Strategic Planning:
• Design a strategic plan for achieving the Evergreen vision and communicate the action plan with clarity to the members
• Mobilize the Staff, Ministry Teams, Committees, and Members to fulfill the mission of Evergreen Community Church in a coordinated manner
Staff Development:
• Prepare agenda and objectives for weekly staff meetings
• Oversee quarterly or yearly staff retreat(s)
• Foster teamwork by targeting staffing roles based on evaluated strengths, ensuring the needs of the team are properly filled
• Insure all staff have clear direction concerning their contribution to the ECC mission through job descriptions, annual reviews and regular evaluations
• Shepherd the staff by providing professional development, personal growth, encouragement and feedback while setting goals for growth in their respective ministries
• Partner in the spiritual development of the Evergreen Board and other lay leaders of the church
• Work with the Board to ensure the church is functioning well on all ministry levels, addressing problems or issues as they are identified
Personal Growth:
• Continue to cultivate a consistent devotional life of prayer, Bible study and meditation on God’s word
• Continue to cultivate sensitivity to God’s voice and the prompting of the Holy Spirit
• Participate in consistent spiritual accountability with other godly individuals
